The 17th Century cottage sleeps 4/6 people over two levels and has been lovingly restored to reveal original oak beams, a traditional fire place, oak staircase and feature charente stone sink.

Much of the furniture in the cottage has been sourced from local brocantes (antique shops) giving the house a unique character.

The ground floor kitchen/living area is the heart of the cottage with thick stone walls retaining the heat during winter but keeping it cool on hot summer days. Two traditional French windows mean the area is bright and inviting with a polished parquet floor throughout. The room has a large traditional fire place with a new wood burning stove (wood provided free) and an exposed feature Charente stone sink.
The kitchen has been refurbished to a high standard and is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances plus a fridge freezer, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher and of course an espresso machine!
The lounge is cosy and relaxed with 2 sofas, chairs, TV, DVD player and CD/Radio.
To the front of the house is an area perfect for alfresco dining or mixing with locals over a glass of wine or the local aperitif - Pineau. (French wrought iron furniture and gas BBQ provided)
